Cobalt based materials / Stellite
Cobalt base alloys, also known under the brand name Stellite, are available in different hardnesses, from relatively soft materials that can be machined to tough wear-resistant alloys, optionally alloyed with tungsten carbides for extreme wear resistance. Cobalt-based materials are often used in high-temperature applications due to their high resistance to high-temperature corrosion. This makes it very suitable for solving various wear problems.
